  • We offer both habilitation and vocational services.
  • Nursing clinic in each location.
  • Services are individually tailored to the location and consumers
  • Transportation is available.

WHO STAFFS CREATIVE LEARNING WORKSHOP?

Our workshops are staffed with a full‐time Administrator, Assistant Administrators, an RN/LPN and STNA’s/Direct Care Staff. Our staff is fully trained and certified and our consumer ratio is between 6:1 and 4:1. We hire experienced administrators and staff who share our passion for developing a new standard in the industry and are eager to join an organization that will not settle for the status quo.

WHAT VOCATIONAL SKILLS ARE WE DEVELOPING FOR OUR CONSUMERS?

Recognizing that employment is a means to independence, Creative Learning Workshop takes an active role in supporting disabled individuals’ ability to work, using coaching programs that focus on vital knowledge such as job skills and on‐the‐job behavior

The vocational skills training portion of our program are centered on:

  • Attendance
  • Compliance
  • Task completion
  • Safety
  • Problem solving

We also assist with employment‐related basics such as:

  • Job coaching
  • Time management
  • Skill usage
  • Grooming
  • Employer consultation
  • Behavior management
  • Work‐related crisis intervention

HOW ARE CONSUMERS TRANSPORTED TO THE WORKSHOP?

We provide transportation to and from the Group Homes and ICF/MR locations, using wheelchair accessible buses.

WHAT FUN ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL INTERACTIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO OUR CONSUMERS?

Activities and interactions include:

  • Therapy and Fitness Rooms
  • Use of Nintendo Wii for fun and physical therapy
  • Televisions and DVD’s
  • Crafts and Games
  • Monthly activities including parties, dances, etc.
  • Weekly visits from the Bookmobile
  • Monthly outings to various events and locations
  • Visits and interactions with therapy animals

DOES CREATIVE LEARNING WORKSHOP ACCEPT WAIVER CONSUMERS?

Creative Learning Workshop will gladly meet and conduct interviews with prospective consumers at our applicable locations. Upon appropriate placement, we are able to process payment for services through County Waiver Programs.

HOW DO WE PARTICIPATE WITH THE GROUP HOMES AND ICF/MRS?

  • Coordinate medical requirements to consumers
  • Jointly participate in ICF/MR and Group Home State surveys to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Review consumer dietary needs and routines to ensure compliance with ICF/MR and Group Home directives
  • Monthly programming assessments for all consumers are conducted jointly with ICF/MR and Group Home care administrators
  • Vocational job assessments are conducted to determine consumers' work opportunities in the community or within Creative Learning Workshop's vocational program
