Here in Forest Park we take pride in our ability to always come up with new and exciting adventures for our clients. Because the individuals we serve are active and always on the go, we continuously are thinking of new ways to keep their attention.

We have many events that take place here throughout the year including a Sweethearts Dance, the Spring Fling, Mother’s Day Brunch, Father’s Day Luncheon, Talent and Fashion shows, a Fall Carnival, the Halloween Dance and Haunted House, and the Christmas Party.

Not only do we hold great events and activities in the workshop, but we also take the clients out on fun and educational field trips. Some of the locations we have taken the clients to include Cedar Point, The Beach Waterpark, Cincinnati Zoo, Winton Woods, clients have gone to Red’s games, a tour of Paul Brown Stadium, and Union Terminal.

To highlight our activities and field trips and to announce upcoming craft shows and parent meetings our staff and clients work to put together a monthly newsletter that is sent out to families and guardians and other CLW workshop locations.

Here at Forest Park we enjoy having fun and introducing our clients to new and exciting opportunities, but fun is just part of our day. We also provide vocational opportunities in our production room for those individuals that would like to earn money. You can find clients working on MRE kits from Longlife or Bite-blocker kits, others prefer to participate in the paper shredding, and we have those that take care of our facility and become part of the Janitorial Crew.
