Creative Learning Workshop, located in Geneva, Ohio serves a variety of individuals ranging from mild to profound developmental disabilities. The location also serves individuals who require nursing home care.

The emphasis at this particular location primarily focuses on promoting vocational skills. We have been able to support some of our individuals in a community based setting. Our goal is to assure that all of our individuals can become active and productive members of our community. Some activities that we offer at this location are transporting our clients to fun and educational outdoor sites such as Squires Castle Metropark, the Cleveland Zoo, the Lake Erie Captains game, covered bridge tours, and other seasonal fun adventurous activities.

The workshop is large, colorful, and bright. It contains an arts and crafts room that is open to all clients to be as creative as they want to be. This location has a sensory room with a tactile scene on the wall with fun lights and a cool bubble machine. We have an exercise room to motivate our clients to live a healthy lifestyle. Another room that our workshop has is a multi media room that allows our individuals to sit back and relax and learn something new. We have a great CLW Café for our clients to learn to whip up fun and healthy snacks. Some of these snacks were made from our homemade garden right in our backyard. Our program at Geneva is free flowing and our individuals have the opportunity to choose how they would like to structure their day. We love FUN!

The Geneva Workshop is open from 9:00am to 3:00p.m. Some of the services that are provided but not limited too are: personal care, continuous active treatment, socialization, various vocational skills such as peace work, shredding and sorting paper, janitorial work, shipping and receiving, and pre-vocational skills. Through great communication with the individual’s interdisciplinary team, we are able to bolster the skills that the individuals are learning at home while they attend the workshop.
