CLW provides services to adults with Developmental Disabilities in a workshop setting, and is seeking a Full Time Director of Nursing for all CLW locations throughout the state of Ohio.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for all nursing related direction and to ensure that proper nursing care is available and provided to all clients served. The DON creates and implements policies and procedures that assist the local LPN and designated Direct Care Aides to maintain the health and safety of clients and provide medical attention when appropriate. To assist in the planning and implementation of programs, provide physical assistance to clients, and work to help the clients obtain an optimal level of independence.

The successful candidate will display the following qualifications & characteristics:

  • Hold an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess a valid Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Ohio.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (at least 1 year).
  • Prior experience working in a workshop setting preferred.
  • Mathematical and logical skills necessary to diagnose and treat clients, as well as administer medication.
  • Prior experience carrying out behavior plans and other programs as written.
  • Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with clients and staff.
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) and comprehension.
  • Ability to travel throughout Ohio as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current auto insurance based on state minimal insurance coverage standards and reliable automotive transportation.

Director of Nursing

Our Mason, Ohio location is looking for a Floor Supervisor, full-time (M-F day shift).  Some responsibilities include assisting the Administrator with overseeing the daily operation of the workshop and creating a healthy and safe environment for clients. The Floor Supervisor’s primary duty will be to supervise the work of Team Leaders, staff and clients on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that the floor runs as effectively and efficiently as possible, assisting with providing physical assistance to clients, working to help them obtain an optimal level of independence and ensuring their physical and personal needs are met timely and appropriately. 


The Floor Supervisor will also assist with basic staff areas including, but not limited to:  attendance, request offs, counseling or disciplinary action, and training. The Floor Supervisor will also assist the Administrator with various functions of the workshop, as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • At least two years experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, health care, social services, or day habilitation services.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in the areas of occupational and social skills.
  • Dealing appropriately and effectively with clients and staff.
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) and comprehension.
  • Relevant management experience.
  • Valid drivers license required (meaning no license suspensions w/in the past 5 years and no more than 6 pts.).

CLW in the Springfield, Ohio area is in need of a Job Coach to travel throughout Clark County and occasionally the surrounding areas. The Job Coach is responsible to evaluate clients, perform job coaching activities per established goals, and ensure proper placement in employment in which the client can be successful in their work. To create a healthy and safe environment for clients while assisting in the planning and implementation of programs, providing physical assistance to clients, and working to help clients obtain an optimal level of independence. Perform client and employer follow up and follow-along services as necessary for each client. Job Coaching experience is necessary.
